7. Inuyasha

     Let’s imagine the world where all mythical creatures, personifications of human fears, are something more than our imagination - there is no boundary between fantasia and reality. And now let’s go back in time to Japan’s Sengoku period, which ended about 500 years ago, when Japanese people had simply no idea what Tokyo is and when some provinces waged war for supremacy. This is where Higurashi Kagome (the main character) gets to falling accidently into a well. However, an unfamiliar area at war isn’t her biggest problem. Travelling trough the magical tunnel, which is something like a bridge connecting different periods, she is attacked by aggressive female daemon. Then she ends up in the world which is full of bloodthirsty, dangerous monsters known from Japanese mythology. Soon we get to know that daemons seeking for power desire one small object.

     Higurashi Kagome, a usual Japanese schoolgirl, is an incarnation of great priestess Kikyo. She is unconsciously in possession of Shikon no Tama, the magical jewel which lures daemons and which is able to make them stronger. This is also what Inuyasha, a half-daemon teenager (who is above 100 years old…), needs to wipe the humane blood out of his veins. What Inuyasha and Kagome’s first meeting was like? Why do they have to create a team and then cooperate with Sango (a female daemon slayer), Miroku (Japanese lecherous monk) and Shippo (a small fox daemon)? Why do they have to travel through feudal Japan? What is their purpose? And finally, why does this magical jewel even exist?

     Inuyasha is another Japanese TV series which I personally love. It shows perfectly how emotions influence our decisions, how it is easy to make mistakes fatal in its effects but, at the same time, how our feelings make us stronger. This is the battleground of eternal war between good and evil, between what's emotional and what trials a purity of our heart. In my opinion, one of the best Animes I’ve ever watched. Absolutely worth recommending.
