4. Kuroko no Basket

          In recent times the Japanese cartoon style of art isn’t something uncommon. Anime unites youth from all over the world, it’s rather known by entire young generation and still becomes more and more famous. A lot of people like or hate it, anyway it catches one’s attention.

     Great fan or not, I’m still demanding person and I look for Japanese comics or TV series very carefully. Following this rule, not being keen on any kind of physical activity, I fell in love with Kuroko no basket, which is obviously in genre of sport, quite fresh shonen title (shonen – for boys).

     Very briefly - as befits shonen, there is an extremely powerful, unique (and unbelievable awesome) group of young boys, here basket players. Invincible generation of miracles. Masters of different basket skills. Surely amazing players but not immaculate human beings. For them winning the matches is something more important than teamwork. Individual skills determine the different points of view and this is what leads to misunderstandings within the generation. They split out before high school - each of them goes to different basketball team to play against old friends in the upcoming years. Victory remains the greatest purpose.

     There is a sixth player of the generation, Kuroko Tetsuya. He thinks differently. He wants to defeat “the big five” playing his own style of basketball and to prove his old teammates that fun and teamwork are something essential and without that basketball have no sense. In other words, the victory is nonsense when players don’t have a good time while playing.

     This anime made me love the basketball. It’s full of action, funny situations and interesting, developing characters. Next to basketball there is a strong emphasize on relations between them which I personally find as a big advantage of this title.
      It's not demanding but definitely worth recommending! =)
